  It doesn't matter to me, but I really don't like those "thug and ho" books. Just not my thing. I think the only books I've ever read by black authors were The Color Purple, Kindred, and A Raisin in the Sun. I loved all three. I plan to read God Don't Like Ugly. But, I have the same sort of problem with stand-up comedy.
